Over summer, I interned on the Marketing Team at a nonprofit called TechSoup. TechSoup is a global social enterprise that runs one of the biggest technology philanthropy programs in the world.
I quickly realized that calling TechSoup a "nonprofit" was like an oversimplification. In addition to their product donation program, they also run NGO validation services for funders, foundations, and grant-makers, promote technology literacy in nonprofits, create valuable resources like webcasts, live-chats, how-to's, and articles on everything from fundraising to web design, engage in grassroots level community engagement, and foster a sense of community in the social sector.
As part of the Marketing Team, I sought opportunities to create visual assets to support and enhance digital marketing goals. Here are the graphics I created to promote only a handful of TechSoup's many campaigns, events, and resources for NGOs and nonprofits.
My main goals were to create eye-catching images that integrated the vibrance of the TechSoup brand identity, incorporated elements of collaborating companies, and visually conveyed information about the event/resource/campaign content, that would also stand out in social media feeds.
This GIF pretty accurately captured my actual reaction to the jargon generator. Don't believe me? See for yourself here.
